Borovitza Dux 2021
Borovitsa is nestled among the iconic red sandstone rocks of Belogradchik in Northwest Bulgaria. Here, winemaker Adriana Srebrinova produces wines that chart their own course entirely: with minimal intervention in the cellar and maximum expression of the soil. DUX is the absolute flagship of that philosophy.
DUX combines depth with a delightful wildness and a touch of elegance. On the nose and palate, you discover dark forest fruit, ripe cedarwood, dried herbs, and that characteristic, almost iron-like minerality of the red rocky soil. Thanks to its natural freshness, the wine remains incredibly drinkable despite its power. The tannins are ripe and provide structure.
