Rossidi Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2022
With his Rossidi Nikolaevo Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut, Edward Kourian proves that his talents extend far beyond classic still wines. This extremely refined sparkling wine, made using the traditional method, is an absolute gem that effortlessly competes with renowned European bubbles. This has not gone unnoticed by critics either: the 2022 vintage snatched a spectacular 3rd place in the prestigious DiVino TOP 50 of best Bulgarian wines and was voted the best Bulgarian sparkling wine.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir from their own limestone-rich Nikolaevo vineyards near Sliven. Expect an extremely elegant, pale golden colour with a delicate, lively mousse in the glass. The nose opens with complexity, notes of brioche, roasted hazelnuts, and a hint of noble smokiness, beautifully countered by the fresh vibrancy of lemon zest. On the palate, it is dry, crystal clear, and energetic, with a delicate creaminess and a strikingly mineral, fresh finish.
